“Tricia Quintero is a proud wife, mother, community volunteer, and longtime resident of Hays County. She and her husband, James, have five children--four of which either currently attend or will soon enroll in a Dripping Springs ISD school.
Tricia has a personal stake in seeing Dripping Springs schools succeed!
Having lived in Hays County since 2006, Tricia knows the contours of the community well. She knows that smart investments are needed to give our kids the best opportunity at a bright future. But she also understands that area school districts can better manage their growth.
Several years ago, financial controversies in Hays CISD prompted Tricia to get involved and, eventually, become the Chair of the district’s Facilities and Bond Oversight Committee. It was in that capacity that she worked with community stakeholders to build responsible bond packages that prioritized needs over wants, essentials over luxuries. As Chair, she garnered a reputation as a thoughtful leader and a passionate advocate for students and taxpayers alike.
This experience, as well as others, cultivated a passion in Tricia for servant leadership and smart governance. She aspires to bring these qualities to bear on the DSISD board. Because we can do better. We should do better. We must do better.
Tricia is not a slick politician. She’s a motivated mom, inspired to run for office for her kids, for your kids, and for our community’s future.
